My internet explorer is driving me crazy. It is only IE, as Chrome and Firefox work just fine.
Some websites work just fine. Other websites cannot load. When I try to connect to these websites, the IP the IE is trying to connect to is 10.0.0.1. I don't think this is a router issue, because if it were the other browsers would not work.I used hotspot shield last night for about an hour. Could this be related? Any ideas?
Are you saying that Firefox & Chrome don't have a problem accessing the web interface of your router? What router do you have? How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
A D-link DIR-615.
And yeah, Chrome and Firefox have no issues with connectivity. Its just a majority of sites, but not all websites, on IE that I can't connect to.
I just tethered my phone and IE was working perfect so it is a network connection issue, but only for IE. I will test it on another wifi network soon.
That IP address you gave has nothing to do with your network. It's a non routable internal IP address. I don't know why you thought that you should be able to connect to it. How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
That address accesses the interface for the router. and it is a valid address. Somewhere someone got the bright idea to use the address bar also as a search bar. In Internet Explorer go to: Tools/Internet Options/Content There is a section called AurtoComplete in there there is a button marked settings, click on it and uncheck the checkmark next to address bar (should be 1st one). Clikc OK, click OK again, close IE restarted it and now you should be able to enter the number there.
Do you have the Content Advisor enabled under Internet Options?
