Hello all,
I have a small home "network" set up (2 pc's sharing files and a printer)
I'm sharing my favorites(as well)from one pc to the other. When I open sites on one of the pc's they open in Netscape Navagiator instead of IE.
How do I set up IE as my default Browser to avoid having to openning up the other browser?
I'm sure iy's a simple setting adjusement I just can't figure it out.
Thanks,
Joe

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools, Internet Options, and then the Programs tab. At the bottom check the box that says "Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser." The next time you start Explorer, it will ask if you want it to be your default browser. Answer yes.

Thanks Kevin,
I tried Tools,Internet Options,Programs and checked the IE should be...... box. On both PC's. I was never asked if I wasnted IE to be my default browser on either machine.
I have the same settings on both but stillhave to open shared web pages with Netscape. But only on one PC. Any reason?
Did I miss something or any other ideas?
Thanks
Joe

Click Start and see if you have an item near the top called Set Program Access and Defaults. If so, click the drop-down arrow to the right of Custom and change the default browser to Internet Explorer.

Try look into Netscape Navagiator settings to see if there is anything that set itself as the default browser. If you find it, uncheck it and close the browser. Then go to IE options to make it the default browser.

Thanks again for the help but still no luck.
I could not find a Netscape Navagiator setting that makes it the default or "Set Program Access and Default" from the start menu. I believe the IE is my default browser it's just these shared pages use netscape. I don't know why. I'm still open for suggestions.
