Ok, for the last few weeks my internet has been redicoulous. I cannot connect to Steam [online gaming], because my internet is running to slow. Also, sometimes pages won't load and will go to "not responding" pages. We have called the internet provider, they sent someone out, and "nothing was wrong". They won't do anything. This is happening on 2 computers, both wireless, but even happens when connected directly [on both computers]. I get an error when i go to "repair" my internet connection that says: Cannot communicate with DNS server
The matter of fact is that the problem isn't the ISP but Windows Vista itself. Your router is unable to tolerate TCP Window Scaling, which is enabled by default. You need to turn it off. Follow the article below for instructions, and please post back if this work for you. Good luck.
