Internet connectivity issue with Acer Aspire!

Specs: Windows XP, 1.6 Mhz/512 MB
I own an older laptop - Acer Aspire 2000. I am having internet connectivity issues with it, it will not load the google homepage. It has a mini-Adapter Intel Pro 2100. I have reloaded the drivers, checked under device manager, checked the connections on the adapter, switched on the wireless LAN switch, no success. Everything indicates it is fine, displays wireless network with very good connectivity, 11 Mbps (the max. on this card), repair function, nothing is working.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Tested with a Cisco PCMCIA card, works fine with it.

Considering the troubleshooting steps you've taken, my guess is the problem has to do with the adapter itself. Whether or not you can fix it is debatable. If not, get another adapter.
