hi, is the internet connection sharing in win98 as easy as it sounds. just stick a second network card in the main computer with the cable internet and run it to the network card in the secondary computer(win98) and run the wizard. no special settings or naming or ip settings or other hard stuff?
thank you, Macho Man

yes it is. I run some networks (smaller ones) by running win98 and setting the connected computer up thru 'add/remove programs' with internet connection sharing and as long as you use different name for the computers and the same workgroup name on all, set up your network card and your protocalls, its a snap. You will also have to resetup your connection to the internet on the other computers without modems to use a lan connection. its all pretty straight forward and automatic!

Yes its possible and easy to use one connection for your network, and you dont need two network cards, If your computers are networked now, just set up internet sharring on the main computer. Once that is done all other machines on the network will be connected as soon as the main machine dials in and connects, One thing, make sure you tell it to put the Icon in the task bar, This sharrinf will, or did on mine, create a firewall, and to get into some places I like on the net it has to be turned off. Other than that, it works just fine, I have had 4 computers online thru 1 connection with no problems, Also, any of the 4 can still dial in on its own if needed,
