Hi guys.
I have 2 PCs, 2 ethernet cards ie. one on each PC, 1 switch ,and an wireless internet connection via access point (I pay for it.)
I've connected the access point to the switch and connected the 2 PC's to the switch.
the problem is that the provider request a username password to let me use the net, so I can use only on PC at time, because when I enter the password to the other PC a message will appear telling me that the user is already logged in.I think the provider can give only one IP to each user, so please how can I share this IP between my 2 PCs without buying extra equipment or signing in for other account.

Either buy a second NIC for one PC and share it using Internet Connection Sharing, or you could look into getting a SOHO router, but I'd ask around or google to make sure people have been successful doing this with this ISP.

There really isn't a good solution that avoids buying equipment, but the good news is either a NIC or a SOHO router (router preferred) are inexpensive.

If you created another ip on the single nic and used analogx's proxy it should work. Use second browser to the new ip address (use private ip) and use the readme's port number to point to what is termed gateway. Computer one would be the gateway or proxy using a multiple ip assigned nic.

It would be rather slow. Anytime you use a nic to use two ip address's and then forward it takes a lot of resources.

It would be sort of a router on a stick setup.

I could buy another NIC it is relatively cheap but then I will face another problem, which is that the PC with single NIC will not has Internet unless the other PC is turned ON!
@ jefro

Router is the way to go as long as there's no funny business with your ISP that prevents it from working, which is rare. It's more secure, performs better, and is more convenient.

Actually it worked!
I've solved the problem using analogx's proxy, but without assigning 2 IP to a single NIC ,I have just used one PC as a proxy and cnfigured the browser on the other PC to use that, that is all.
when I need to operate on the client PC alone I will just clear the checkbox of "use proxy server for your LAN" and everything is fine.
Thank you guys.
