Hi, i recently networked my two home computers together using a Linksys 5-port hub and two Linksys LNEPCI II NICs. The stats are as follows:

Server:
Pentium III 866 MHz
256 MB RAM
Linksys LNEPCI II NIC

Client:
Pentium III 500 MHz
256 MB RAM
Linksys LNEPCI II NIC

I have everything working just fine, but ther is one big problem with internet sharing (i am using Proxy+). I have it set up appropriately and i can ping and bring up web pages, and downloads etc, but everytime i bring up a page or a download on the client it gives it about 20 or 30 KB or information and then it just stops with the page half loaded. Same thing with downloads. Then after about 10 minutes it gives a "The operation timed out" error. I have also tried Wingate and Sygate and the exact same thing happens. Whats the problem here? How can i fix this?

I am assuming your are using windows. I am not a proxy expert by a long shot, but have had this problem in the past. If your using windows only one machine can have internet connection sharing on (server). That usually ends up giving you interupted downloads/page views.
What i recommend though (as long as neither machine is windows 2000 pro) is buy a linksys router. (usually under $100). This will act as a DHCP server for your network. It takes care of all traffic direction and provides an extremely reliable connection (i am also assuming your are trying to share a broadband always on connection). It also acts as a hardware firewall. And you won't need to use proxy.
Like I said though, I am not a proxy guru.
