hi...i have the USB broadband connection by reliance and i want to share the net using the switch how can i share this as i cant afford for the wifi router and the speed of braod band is 3.1MBPS and just tell me the full steps how can i connect share the net through the switch

You cant share the Internet through a switch, not by itself.
If you want to share the Internet with you USB modem you need to Install Internet Connection sharing on the computer that has the modem plugged into it. This then makes the computer act like a router to which you can connect other computers via Ethernet. You could plug a switch into this computer and have multiple computers connect to the client but it would be the client doing the sharing.

Just one slight devation from the tutorial posted by Picohat is that as the OP has a USB modem they will only need one network interface card. You would only need the second netwrok interface card if there was an Ethernet modem.
