Hi. I have a computer connected to the linksys router which access the internet. The computer has a connection and pings and I went through a bunch steps with verizon tech. They think it is a program which will not allow the access. Another computer is connected to the router and can access the internet, I checked the following:

* My IP address,
* My computer connection
, it's hooked in on both sides.
* Checked the router and modem, plugged and unplugged everything is connected.
* All the computers are connected and have internet connections.

Please help me!

"The computer has a connection and pings"

What does it ping? Other computers in your LAN or can you ping a website by IP or Domain Name?

On one of the working systems open a command prompt ( START>RUN>cmd )

type ipconfig /all and hit ENTER.

Note down the IP addresses for gateway and DNS servers

Now do the same in the problem machine.

Are the gateway & DNS details the same? Post back with the results.

You can test to use ping to troubleshoot this network problem. If it's wireless connection, you can have a look on this wireless network troubleshooting tips article too. Hope this helps.

I did the start-run-cmd and typed "ping" and it got a response.

When looking for the DNS number, they were the same
When looking for the IP address they are different
But the default gateway is the same for both machines.
