I would highly recommend hardwiring over a wireless setup as you get better bandwidth with a hard wired solution.

You'll want a decent router with built in firewall to protect you from intrusion and provide TCP/IP information to client PC's via DHCP.

Other than that, I would recommend using a switch over a hub, preferably a 3com or Cisco based product.

Yes, that one will do the trick. To do the internet sharing I highly recommend you also purchase a highspeed internet router. Linksys makes one of the better products out there.

Then have your DSL go into the router, the router plugs into the switch and all the client PC's plug into the switch as well. This keeps all PC's behind the firewall and protected from intrusion. Use the router to provide DHCP to the clients as well.

I have set up an internet cafe with 10 PC's.
All the pc's are connected and networked with a switch. I am connected to the net with a cable modem giving 128 Kbps speed. Do I need a router.
How can the router help
Can the speed be equally distributed to all the PCs using the router
I need help
