internet access through server

hey! ok, i really dont know what im on about, so please bare with me, we've networked our computers which seems to have worked ok, able to share files fine, but we still cant get internet access from the server computer. it and 1 other run XP, while the other machine runs ME. what kind of settings do i need/what to install to get this working? cheers

hi you need to make IP address to server by going to network properties and the TCP\IP protocol properties and then type IP 192.168.0.1 and then press ok and then go clients right-click on Inetnet options>connections>lan setting>chack use aproxy serevr and also bypass proxy server and then click advanced and type 192.168.0.1 and the port you know ot if you dont know it tell me on my email iraqdevil@yahoo.com ok waiting your answer
