Hi,

Is it possible to interconnect 2 wireless routers to each other via one of each others' LAN ports? We tried doing that (both were on the same network w/o conflicting addresses) but the wireless clients of one couldnd't see the wireless clients of the other?

Help!

Reggie

try using a crossover cable from one wireless hub to the other wireless hub [never done it so this is theory based on connecting hubs to hubs]. One of the wireless units and connected pc would have to be set to static addresses within the ip range of the other wireless hub or no communication could take place between the pcs.

Would this also apply to wired and wireless routers? I have a Linksys BEFSR41 wired router with the base address 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 connected to the cable modem, and am trying to add a NetGear MR814 wireless with a base of 191.168.0.1/255.255.255.0.

And although I know I shouldn't, I have both units set to be the DHCP server because when I don't have it set that way on the Netgear, I couldn't get a wired connection to work from it.

So I must turn off the DHCP on the Netgear and declare it to be a static address such as 192.168.1.120 and declare all machines attached to it (wired or wireless) in that same pattern. Right?
