I recently uninstalled the wireless unit. After reinstalling,I get the message no supported wireless adapter available.Registry has no info about adapter.I uninstalled a couple of times trying to get the system to find the file but still cannot turn on wireless.

If you uninstalled the device in device manager the drivers will need to be reinstalled. They will either be on your chipset CD or you can download them from Dell Goin' Fishin' (Some day)
Hi,
Thanks for your response.I uninstalled the wireless again ,remove from device manager and then attempted a clean reinstallation.Downloaded drivers from the chipset, plus did installation recommended by cd.The result is still the same.I am still getting the message no supported wireless adapter available in the system. In addition registry has no files about wireless.Additional feedback requested. Thanks
If you're getting that message, then you're not installing the correct drivers. Does Device Manager show any wireless card detected? Did you enter your ST on Dell's support site and look at the Wireless drivers there? If you received a Dell Resource CD with your computer, the drivers will be on there as well.

Hi,
Thanks for all suggestions, and to suggestion number two.I used the dell cd before but apparently those drivers there needed updating.Once I downloaded the drivers from the dell sight all issues were resolved. Thanks again to all for their assistance.
