I am trying to setup 2 networks on my PC. One, strictly for internet access. The second as an ad-hoc peer-to-peer network to a second PC for file-sharing. I have installed 2 wireless NIC's. When I installed the first NIC, all of the advanced properties for configuring the NIC are available and can be configured. The problem is with the second card, only a few of the advanced properties are available for configuring the wireless card. I am not saying they are greyed out, I'm saying they are not there at all for viewing or modification. I would think that each card would be the same. Does anyone know if the properties of one card get passed to the second card and is that why they are unavailable for the second card?

ad-hoc and peer to peer are 2 diff setups.
if you will get 2 usb wireless adapters, then you can set those up to run peer to peer without a router.
