Install without Domain Controller

Microsoft Windows small business server...

Specs: Windows Server 2003
How can I install Windows Small Business Server 2003 without making the machine a Domain Controller but having SQL Server installed?

This server will be used for storing digital copies of my companies work slips, and it needs to be on the same domain as our main three servers. The other servers are all running Windows Small Business Server 2003 as well, but I was not involved with the installation of those machines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance. I have been searching on google and going through several forums, but it is becoming clear that I just do not know how to word it correctly.

You can't undo the design of SBS which means you can't not install it as a DC.

Return SBS and get 2003 Standard server. Then make it a member server.

I would also point out that you CAN NOT be running multiple SBS in a single forest as you state. That also is against design.

Might want to review this:

I appreciate your help. What are the dangers of running several servers on the same domain with SBS 2003?

There are no "dangers" running multiple servers in a SBS environment. The criteria is you can only run one SBS and then you can connect other DCs [not SBS] to help with authenications, sharing, apps, some DC functions, etc.

SBS by design can't run multiple SBS in the same forest.

Is this making sense?
