Hi,
Sorry for the intrusion, but Google brought me here via another very old, similar question. I, too, would like to see if I can daisy chain two routers, i.e., use my second router as a simple "extender" to my first router. My reason is not nearly so fancy as what you previously discussed. I just happen to have two four-port routers and don't want to spend any more money to get to the five or six ports that I actally need. With that in mind, can anyone re-offer any help on how to do this, considering that I REALLY don't know too much about this stuff (DHCP, NAT, etc.)? Thanks in advance.

The simpler and cheaper solution is a switch. You can get an 8 port switch for under $50.00.
Since you don't want to go that route, disable the firewall, NAT and DHCP in the secondary router, plug it in to the first, LAN port to LAN port with a crossover cable. It should then act as a simple switch.
