I have a USB bluetooth adapter for my PC. Right now it is pluged into the PC's back and works fairly well. If I buy a USB extension cable and mount the bluetooth dongle high up on my wall will it increase range? Any other suggestions to increase the range?

I have done this, and it works fine. However, be sure that you don't take the piss and buy some big ass cable....because the signal will need boosting. So, anything above 5m for usb is not recommened
