This could be tricky. As there are many causes for this. And you haven't supplied much information.
Firstly, just make sure there's nothing interfering with the signal. Anything like a microwave or lots of electrical objects.

There's an idle time option in some Routers. Depending on the router itself and the settings in the router will be if the option is available.
But for that you need to access your router settings. You haven't supplied any information on how you are connected or what router you have so it will be time consuming explaining all directions for all situations.
If you already know how to access your router using 192.168.x.x. Then make sure you're using WPA security, not WEP. And look around the settings for an idle time.

Another reason could be another device connecting through wireless (if you have it) which might be causing problems with connectivity.
