I am currently on satellite modem, which means that I can't use a traditional router to split up my internet access. I am running Microsoft's ICS on the XP, which is connected to the satellite. The XP is then connceted to a networking hub. I have a Linksys WAP11 Wireless Access point connected to the hub, also. The two 98SE computers have wireless USB adapters (linksys), and they are connecting with the wireless access point. They both have strong signal and signal quality. However, neither of the 98SE computers have internet. I have been messing around with this for several days now. I had all three computers up and running with internet. I downloaded some files on one and set up an email account on another. After I finished downloading the files and rebooted, the XP's internet stoppped working. But, now that is fixed, I'm back on square 1. The XP has internet, 98SE's don't. Also, the two 98SE's can see each other's computers under the network, neither see the XP, nor does the XP see the others. |
