Basically can't get my broadband to be shared with ICS.
my laptop is connection to usb broadband router and wirelessly to my desktop. So I in sharing tab of my broadband i enable ICS using the wireless connection. I noticed that gave my Wireless connection new ip address of 192.168.0.1.

On my desktop, i did nothing just create a ad-hoc wireless connection. Having said that when automaitcaly obtaining addres didn't work, i went for this static 192.168.0.2 SM 255.255.255.0.
My desktop still can't connect to the NET. My laptop is fine, well it is directly connected.

Can anyone shed some light on this one pls. Cheers.

BTW. This is temp setup as my router has gone bad.

that ip address would be wrong if you are getting a 192.168.0.x ip address from your isp to the laptop. The wireless cards would need to be in a different subnet like 192.168.1.2 &.3

I have yet to read of anyone who got the wireless adhoc networking to work. If you do post back with how you did it please. Thx.

on my laptop I have linksys wpc54g and on desktop its the netgear WG311T 108 pci card. But poblem is not wireless as i have no issues there with file sharing, etc.

And desktop is set to obtain IP add automatically.
