Ok guys here i go again. I am connecting my laptop to mi desktop trough crossover cable, i manage to make the network work when i write the ip's manually but i can not se either of mi pc's. The only thing working is my network "screenies". Help plz i need to be able to se both my computers and connect to the internet trough my laptop (desktop is host).

More info needed please. Have you enabled ICS (in which case be aware that it changes the IP address). Also what is a "screenie"?? Are they both XP machines? In which case check your firewall settings. There is a great tutorial on Microsoft site regarding setting up ICS, have a look for it, if you follow it you can't go far wrong!
