Does windows 98 SE have ICS built in somewhere? I'm bringing DSL into the modem. From the modem to the hub. From the hub to two computers. I want to share files/printers on these computers. I need to set up a network but don't know exactly what steps to take.

I'd say don't bother with ICS and obtain a DSL router instead. Much more reliable in the long run.

to get to ICS install, control panel/ add/remove pgms/ windows setup/ communications/ ics. I use it here with phoneline cards to link 3 pcs and share the internet on cable, works well. I would not recommend it if you want to use netmeeting however, ICS does not work with it. good luck, Al

Yo all, it'll be wise to first set up a network and then start messing with your internet connection. BTW Al netmeeting does work with ICS if you add an .ini file somewhere, I've read this on a lot of sites but never tried it. Mzzl, D

I'm pretty sure there is a key in the registry that netmeeting sets incorrectly..if you modify this, it will work with ICS..but I cant seem to find the correct value for the key..Grrrr
