hi

my friend gave me a SMC7004VWBR BARRICADE wireless
router i want my ibook to be wireless.. i have a airport
card.
so when i plug my cable modem to the smc the WAN and
WLAN light are flashing and in airport status my signal is
at max but it says
Status : SMC status not available..
now in the network option in airport/tcpip i see the ip
adress, subnet mask ip and router ip.. those ip are good
according to the manual now when i connect in netscape
http://192.168.x.x i enter my password and i go thru the
setup wizard i select timezone and cable modem and then
it ask me HOST NAME: and MAC ADRESS: i tried everything
i could think of but nothing work it always say:
CONNECTING TO ISP... then COULDNT CONNECT SEE
DOCUMENTATION FOR BLABLABAL doc dont say s---
about macintosh and they are like for system 7... im
running mac os X 10.3.7
the only status i found is this
