I was wondering if I could get a wireless signal like anywhere I went, not just inside the linksys range. Like Im going to New York tomorrow and Im not so sure if the people whos house Im going to have a wireless network, so thats my question. My dads laptop seems to be able to connect wherever too. is this possible?

Sure its posiable..

If someone close enough with a wireless router has not set up security in the router.

Now I wouldnt bank on someone having wireless in the area, or it being unsecure, but anything is posiable.
