That's an easy question to answer. None.

Wi-fi only has a maximum range of around 100 meters, often less.

Even with a high gain omni-directional antenna you are not going to get 3 kms. You might just do it with a line-of-sight connection and both ends using directional antennas.

For long range wireless access you need to be looking at WiMax and that can be expensive.

There are external antennas that claim to work upto 50km line of site, but I am not sure the make/model, but they exist.

We are presently using some Motorola point-to-point wireless antennas where I work. These are Enterprise level and as such, are expensive. I don't know offhand what the range capability of them are but I can tell you this much, we have one p-to-p shot that's around 1 km and another that's about 750 m (3/4's of a km) and they work beautifully.

If you are just trying to connect 2 points on a network like two buildings then a Microwave Point to Point like Curt said will work.

If you are trying to cover a campus with WiFi like a school then you will need to use multiple Wireless Access Points. Just set them up in key areas where the signal radius covers the most area. Make sure to set them on different wireless channels so they don't cross talk.

If you are trying to setup a communication company and are not in the U.S. then use WIMAX.

With out more detail on what exactly you are doing we can not give you a specific answer.

Use a point to point antenna. Depending on which country you are in you may need to get a licenses for the devices. This is not a cheap solution. If you really want to play games with your friend then use the internet, it is way cheaper.
