Specs: Ubuntu 12.04.1, Intel pentium 3 / 256 Megs
I have an Actiontek pk5000, and it disconnects wifi every few minutes, I have this computer hooked to ethernet, and it still works, but my macs, and tablets won't connect wirelessly I have rebooted the modem 6 times now, and I get about 5 minutes of internet every time I reboot. I have tried to upgrade the firmware on it, but it says there are no updates for the firmware available for the router. I would like some help on this please :)
Thanks,
-Drex96

Sounds to me like you need a better router - one with a recognised quality brand-name like Netgear, Belkin or D-Link.

Sometimes you can get a good one off of your T.V provider like SKY or Virgin as i am on virgin and they gave me a free superhub. You should ask them about it.

Yes I sure do need a better router. For anyone with these problems, I unplugged it for 30 seconds, and went into the settings (the ip is usually 198.167.0.x) and rebooted the router.
