you clear the router to factory defaults and then logon with the default account and reconfigure. Review the routers documentation on the specifics of how to do that.

Reset the router to its defaults - usually involves pressing & holding a reset button somewhere on the case. Check your manual/manufacturer's website for exact information and the default login details.

Try googling the make and model of the router and attempt to log in with the default username and password, especially if you don't remember ever setting it.
