Please help. I have been noticing my wireless router
going in and out very often, at least once a day
sometimes up to 5 times a day. I called WOW (Wide
Open West) and had a technician come out and run
tests and he said there was no problem. This is a
brand new router and was bought about a month ago.
My last router was the NETGEAR Super G wireless
router and was having the same problem so I thought
it was the router then.I have 1 desktop and 1 Macbook running off it often. I
am also using XBOX Live and I get kicked off games
very often. I play Call Of Duty Modern warfare 2
everyday for a couple hours each day and expierience
this also every match. I will lag for about 15 seconds
EVERY single match, usually in the middle of the
match. Also, when I use my Mac laptop, out of
nowhere the wireless icon on the top will go gray
(meaning no wifi) and then 5 seconds later turn black,
and back to gray and over and over again until i turn
off my router and turned it back on. My mother also
plays that Farmville Facebook game all day. I was
thinking it her bogging down the connection with
Farmville, but it happens when nobody is using any
computer. I have watched the Green Wireless status
light when I lose wifi and I see the wireless icon
flickering, which I'm guessing isnt supposed to
happen. I tried to call Netgears customer support but
of course you have to pay before you can speak to
anybody.I really appreciate anybody who reads this, and help
could be greatly appreciated.Thank you very much.

New doesn't mean it doesn't have physical issues. If I had a dollar for every time I got a component that was bad out of the box.... Click on my name above in my reply and read my "how-to" guide on "Troubleshooting Wireless Issues" and go through the steps on it and see if that doesn't fix things up.
