Ok, I have cable modem in one room, and it is hooked up to a Linksys Wireless Router. The computer hooked directlt to router has fine internet speeds, but the one that has the wireless card will run fine, but then after a short time the internet speeds will slow down very badly. Then all I do is reset the router and everything is fast as normal. I have to reset the router way too often.... why? and how can I fix this??? Thx

I have the same problem with my Netgear router (message 18024) and I also had it with my SMC Barricade. With the Netgear, you may want to loook at the message I posted to see if your symptoms are similar. With the SMC, it seemed as if the router and cable modem worked at first and then the router would try to reset the cable modem after a few minutes. It seemed worked better for the wired computers when there were no wireless computers running.

The solution was to replace the cable modem. Once that happened, everything worked great.
