Well my main problem is that I have a computer network problem. I have a router and I´ve connected 4 computers directly to it, with a netmask of 255.255.255.0 in the 172.26.0.2 to ... range and the work perfectly, but as soon as I connect a switch to the router so that I can connect the rest of the computers to it, even though the configuration seems to be working fine, I´m not able to ping any of the computers that are connected to switch from that´s also connected to the router. So the gateway is at 172.26.0.1, and three working computers are connected directly to the router, but I´m using the last port on the router to connect the switch to it, and I can´t ping the gateway if the switch is in between. Yes I´ve tried using another switch/hub, and yes when I connect the other computers directly to the router they can connect and they work at a perfect speed. But when I only connect the router directly to the 8 port switch on port 1, and I connect all of the other computers to the switch, the connection is extremly poor.
If someone can help me, and if I can help you with anything I´ll do it, and I´ll also thank you for the information.

sounds like hardware settings issue. Normally, you can access the switch and re-configure the settings such as half duplex.
