Go into the wi-fi setup of the router and you may see it displayed there. Not all routers display the wifi password, just a series of asterisks.

In the case you will need to reset the router con configure it again from scratch accoring to the manual.

In the routers wireless configuration check, whether the encryption key (you called it password) is show in plain text.
If it's not, you can type in a new one there.
After that, you have to reconfigure your wireless connected devices, if there is more than the one computer, you're trying to connect, with the new wireless encryption key.
