I can't connect my Desktop to my wireless

Specs: Macintosh
Anyone that show up at our home can connect their device. iPod, laptops etc. I have a MacBook and use a Airport Extreme for my wireless network. My wife have a PC laptop and it works pretty good. Our Desktop has a LinkSys card in the slot on the motherboard and the operation system is Windows XP. When I try and connect it searches for network and it does find our network. I type in the name and key / password and it starts to communicate with the router and then it give me the message it can't hook up. Funny. It have identified my network and I have provided with the right name and password but it just doesn't hook up.

I would suggest looking at the wireless properties of the LinkSys card, and check the channel number matches the router channel

Channel Numbers? I have not seen that under "Properties" Other name perhaps? You're not referring to IP address?
