I have an ethernet connection and wifi adapter connected. The system tray indicates that my wifi is logged into the network but when I open my browser in says "You are not connected to the Internet". "I have an ethernet connection and wifi adapter connected"

Are both of these attempting connection to the same router? If so why?

If you want to use wireless then disconnect the ethernet cable.

Now reboot the system with only the wireless enabled. Does it connect? Can you ping the router? Open a commandprompt. ( Start> Run> cmd Enter.
Can you ping other client systems? Can you ping anything external such as google.com

Now enter ipconfig /all in the command box and copy/paste the results here and maybe we can spot the problem.
