My laptop has been connected through Ethernet cable for the last few weeks but I cannot get it to connect through wireless. The wireless is disabled and when I click enable, nothing happens. The wireless adapter card card has the most updated driver and the card shows as working ok. Please help...

Try and reinstall the driver or check your wirless network for problems. If that does not help, tell me and give me more information

First, check your laptop for an on/off switch (for the wireless adapter) on the outside of the case. If there is one, and it's in the off position, you won't be able to enable the adapter via software.

If you're switching from wired to wireless, I would recommend you disable the wired network interface when enabling the wireless to avoid giving poor Windows a headache. It's been my experience having both adapters enabled and connected will cause it to stop communicating properly on both.
