Hw to shut down remote compt

I have a network set up with a hub using MICS.

Is it possible for me to shut down a remote computer?

In other words, instead of me having to go to each location to shutdown a computer, can I shut them down fron on computer.
?

If you use VNC you can remotely shutdown
your computers. Turning them on is another
problem.
