Hughesnet File Timestamp Problem

June 21, 2009 at 07:25:19
Specs: Windows Vista
I travel and maintain a website. At 2 different locations with WiFi and Hughsnet my website program (Dreamweaver CS4) indicates that all of the website files need to be updated (over 500 files). Changing to a different ISP correctly indicates only the files changed on the laptop need to be updated.

This is not my equipment but appears to be a Hughtesnet problem. Any ideas about this problem?

Either there is a cache somewhere or you have two hosts.

I doubt your issue with ISP, That has nothing to do with a web server's time.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

The website times are OK as demonstrated by the correct response with a different ISP. I was wondering if there is some sort translation being done by Hughesnet. I know that doesn't seem likely. But suggesting that it's some sort of interaction between Dreamweaver and Hughesnet also seems unlikely.

BTW At both location this was repeated several times including laptop reboots. Switching to another ISP without a reboot and it's OK.

Dreamweaver does have a cache and when this happens again I'll clear it and see what happens.
