HP Pavilion dv7 1000ea wireless problems

Specs: Vista 32bit SP2, 4GB RAM
I have just done a fresh install of Vista 32bit on this Pavilion dv7 1000ea laptop.
I'm having trouble getting the wireless working.

Device Manager is not recognising that there is a wireless adapter inside this laptop, even though there is.

The wireless light is amber. I haven't been able to get it to turn blue.

I have installed ALL the necessary drivers - nothing is reported as not working in Device Manager.
I have updated the BIOS, and also tried reverting it to an older version to see if that made any difference or not.
I have ensured the wifi antennas are correctly attached inside the computer.
I have tried to ensure Wireless is turned on in Setup (F10), but there is no option for it!
I have tried using HP Wireless Assistant to turn it on, but it wont let me open the utility.
I have tried enabling wireless through the Windows Mobility Center control panel, but there are no settings for wireless in there.

Can anyone help?

Sorry everyone, I've managed to fix it. I took the wireless card out and put it back in, and then it was recognised and started working.
