Hi, Why would my networked HP 3600 printer show status as "offline" in the Windows Printers & Faxes folder, when the printer config i printed directly from the pirnter itself shows status as ready.
The printer is pingable and the name resolves fine when pinging to it. Neverthelss, any job you send to it gets to the print queueu but nothing happens. No errors, nothing.
Tried restarting it, etc. It was working great until we had to switch it off 4 weeks ago for an office makeover. Its been reconnected again today and this is happening.
Please advise
Remove it from the printer folder and re-add it. Life's more painless for the brainless.
When you say print queue I assume on a server? Do a direct to the printer print. If that works look at or recreate your server print queue. Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search
