I am starting a job as Asst IT Pro.
In our office, we are using HP Laserjet 2300n Laser Printer. The printer is installed in a PC-1 and also connected to PC-2 & PC-3 (through windows sharing) but when I'm going to add printer and search from network in PC-4 it shows printer name and also connected but i didn't see 'ready' under printer name. and when i click printer properties it shows:
"The HP Laserjet 2300 Series PCL 6 Printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install a printer driver. Do you want to install the printer driver now?"
i didn't understand why it asking for driver while I'm just connecting through LAN. and it is already connected to PC-2 and PC-3. & also please help me to describe whole installation process on IP. i mean if i want to connect it on RJ-45 and doesn't want to open a computer every time where it is installed so what should i do.
