Comment:
I have a hp pavilion desktop, and i try to use network boot option, but it doesnt work.
I have changed my network boot priority option to 1st, and enable the on-board lan.
However, the pavilion computer just doesnt go to network boot option. actually not only 1 hp computer, but i have tried few other hp computers for network boot. Those computers just dont go to network boot.
Anybody know why???
I am sure my network boot option 100% work because i have tested my server on other computers, and it boots up perfectly.

In order to network boot, you need DHCP running in your network so the client PC's NIC can get an IP address. Do you have DHCP setup and running within the same network (subnet) as the PC you're trying to network boot with?

Onboard nic may or may not conform to PXE needed (Intel's WFM level). Don't believe you can use many pci slot nics from bios. Usually need a boot floppy for those.
You'd have to describe more detail on your setup. Are you using RIS or a tftp server on linux/pxelinux or netboot floppy?
