HP 4380 wont connect wirelessly

Just bought HP 4380 which is a wireless printer. I have a belkin Adsl modem and router bought in 2006 ver 1.000uk set up for wireless internet. Unfortunately despite all attempts to install the printer wirelessly, there has been no success. When the report is printed it shows 'No filtering' as 'Fail'. I have both xp and vista . I do not have Mac filtering. Any suggestions?
