How to use safe mode to re-logon?

My laptop was setup as part of the company network (with a domain rather than workgroup). As required to set up a peer-to-peer network (connecting two PCs), I changed the Network ID of my laptop (in System Properties --> Network Identification after right clicking My Computer) by specifying it is a home pc and not part of the business network. As a result, it became a member of workgroup, no longer a member of a domain. But when I restart the laptop, I couldn't logon to it anymore.

Rob suggested using safe mode to bypass the network login. I tried but didn't work. Can anyone help me out of this?

You need to join the domain...bypassing the logon won't help a whole lot as you can do it from within the OS. Your best bet is take it in to your network admin, apologize for messing up the computer and ask him nicely to reset it back to the domain. While you're at it, ask him about setting up a 2nd hardware profile for your computer for you to boot to when you want to workgroup it at home.
