Hi! Does anyone knows how to share a scanner in a LAN?
So far I have not seen anyone be able to do it. You will have to scan on one pc and then transfer the file to the pc you need the scan.

walk down the hall, put the document on the scanner, walk back to your computer, scan it, walk back to retrive it. This makes it a little inpractical. As said scan it one one machine and send the result over the network or if the computers are in close you could get a switch to switch the active computer, or just move it as you need it.

You'll need a network capable scanner. One I can think of is the HP ScanJet 6200 and 6300 series.
