Comment: right my problem is i've got 2 network cards and the computers are set up and the networks working fine but i want to setup my NTL Broadband internet properly. i mean i want to only give a certain amount of bandwidth to 1 of the computers & the hosting computer gets the most bandwidth. i want to know how to do this so i can get the most bandwidth. eg:- i have a 600k connection and i want to have 550k and the other PC gets only 50k. IS THIS POSSIBLE I HAVE HEARD IT IS???? i will be greatful for any help

Reply: (edit)I've personally never heard of a way to do that without pretty costly software, but you might be able to set up one pc for a higher priority somewhere in your router's configuration which will give the pc with the highest priority the most bandwidth when simotaneously trying to download.

Reply: (edit)To apportion bandwidth you will need either an expensive router like CISCO or a LINUX computer set up as a router with software to implement QOS (quality of service).
