how to setup internal mail on network

Specs: Windows XP
Hi I have a 6pc network at home and would now like to setup email so that we can send and receive mails from each over over this network. Can someone please explaine how I can do this, all pc's are with xp, thanks.

You would need to install an email server application.

I suspect if you knew anything about installing/configuring/adminstering an email server, you wouldn't be here (in the wrong forum no less) asking this question.

So all I can tell you is, you've got a lot to learn as this isn't a simple thing you ask.

If you'd like to send and receive E-Mails internally, you need to run your own E-Mail Server.

Use google to search for "free e-mail server".

binney you don't need a email server. just configure all clients to use existing internet email. you do have an internet email address right?
