I'd like for some advice on setting up a multiple computers to the home internet. Currently I have an emachine connected to the internet via cable. In the future I'd like to add another desktop computer (son) and two laptops (daughters) to access the internet at home. I don't believe I need to network these computers together, but hey what do I know. At this time, I don't know how many outputs I have on the cable modem (I'm away from home). Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance.

You need to check and find out if your cable modem is a combo device that is also a SOHO router.
If it is, is it capable of doing a wireless network?
If it's not a combo unit, your best bet will be to purchase a good SOHO router that is wireless capable.
OH, and you will need to network all your computers together if you wish to have them all access the internet.

Thanks for the information. I'll check with Comcast about the modem. Appreciated you taking the time to provide help.
