Hi dear, Make sure your printer has wireless network adapters or a wireless router
First of all Power on the printer and wireless router.Configure the printer to connect the wireless router. Verify connectivity.Assign the printer to a wireless network. Click on “Add a printer”.Click on "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer."Select the wireless printer from the list. Click “Next."Allow Windows to successfully connect the printer. Again, click “Next.”Click "Finish" to complete the process.

If you want screen shots to resolve the issue. just tell me, I will provide it to you dear.

mmm - model of printer would be useful - as some (not all) Canon (and other make) printers come with built-in wifi adapter as standard. Is yours one with wifi adapter built-i - or is it ethernet (cat-5) connection? Whichever it is it will also be usb as well - which is often how one initially sets up the printer to a network (install drivers etc.).

If it doesn't have built-in wifi options then you will need an access router that has wifi as well as ethernet/cat-5 connections. (Or a modem connected to a router that has wifi capability.)

Also most current Canon (and other) printers that are wifi fitted will include a "wizard" routine in the accompanying software packages to help you connect it; and usually a similar "wizard" for ethernet/cat-5 connections too..

So - what model is it?

Then pholks here can help you with more detailed info/help...

Doesn't the printer manual explain how to set it up?

Sadly not everyone reads them; and often some of the manuals around are not the best...

But from experience with recent and current Canon models, the software package invariably includes a wizard routine...

Go to the link in your own post.

Click on the tab "Drivers & Downloads."

Scroll down the page to the link "MX700 Series Network Setup Guide."

Download the pdf file and read the directions. Whenever the directions
refer to a "hub" consider that to be a reference to your wireless router.
