Mark...if you have to ask the question, you don't want try it...
A school LAN indicates probably not a little cable router that uses a GUI for setup...
So maybe it's a Cisco or something equivilant...
This requires programming using the unique procedure for each brand of router...
Or with some of them you can use a GUI program, but you really need to know what you are doing...
What traffic do you want to block, and what traffic do you want to admit???...and what exceptions???
Programming a router can be fairly easy if you know what you're doing, or it can be quite difficult for a complex task...
Your question, in my opinion, is out of the realm of this forum...
Sorry...Steve

thanks steve.because i don't know router config really, i know the router equipment is made by Cisco.i heard the router want to set a static IP, is really ? thanks

Steve is right on the money. I program routers (Cisco mostly) for a living and it's not something anyone can walk you threw. But if you really have the time and dedication, check the model number of your Cisco router and got to Cisco's website www.cisco.com. Typically the models have generic router configurations, but trust me on this one...it's going to REALLY be confusing!!!
