The only time you would roll back the driver is if the problem started after an update. When did the problem start?

I have not had ethernet connection since i got the refurbished dell 755 desktop, about a month ago. Whe I first got it , I set up the wireless first, which I guess was a mistake, so now the default IP is for wireless, and I can not get the ethernet to connect to the internet, at least I guess that is the problem,I do not know. Should I restore back to the begining and try to set the wire first, I hate to mess with the wireless signal , since it works so well, thanks for your willingness to help.

You shouldn't have to restore anything. Look at the device manager. Is the network card enabled & working?
