because i can not get an internet connection with my ethernet hooked up, i was told to try and roll back the driver on the ethernet adapter in device manager, to see if this could help, but how do i roll back the driver on the ethernet adapter in the device manager?? step by step help, please

The only time you would roll back the driver is if the problem started after an update. When did the problem start? How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
I have not had ethernet connection since i got the refurbished dell 755 desktop, about a month ago. Whe I first got it , I set up the wireless first, which I guess was a mistake, so now the default IP is for wireless, and I can not get the ethernet to connect to the internet, at least I guess that is the problem,I do not know. Should I restore back to the begining and try to set the wire first, I hate to mess with the wireless signal , since it works so well, thanks for your willingness to help.
You shouldn't have to restore anything. Look at the device manager. Is the network card enabled & working? How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
What I had to do was ,reset the modem, thanks for the help
You're welcome.
