You shouldn't need to get online to reset it to factory defaults. If I'm not mistaken, everything you need is on the computer in a special partition.

Check on the Dell website, or via google, for instructions on how to restore the computer to factory. You'll need to know the exact model number.

Chances are, you'll just have to reboot and during the boot sequence hit a function key that will bring up a menu that will allow you to restore the OS to factor.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
